| 6-7-05: Donna M. Adell - Ottawa, Ks - Marcus is being given to our son as a "birthday" present, and we hope he travels far. |
| 8-18-05: I passed on Marcus the Monarch to Denise, the daughter of my best friend, Dorothy who just passed away. Dorothy loved everyone and would do anything for anyone. We are all going to miss her, especially Denise and her grandson, Charlie. |
| 9-8-05: Cherri gave me this cutie along with a calendar of horses.I used Marcus to begin a lesson about writing dialogues (quotations in a conversation context). My fourth graders loved it. I received some of the most interesting responses incorporating high-quality voice and word choice traits as well as the emphasized conventions. |
| 9-15-05: Becky Potter - Wellsville, Ks - Wellsville Elementary School. I plan to use Marcus among the students in my classroom accompanied by a journal to document his deeds and travels. |
| 11-13-05: Amanda Muse - Agency, MO - Received as a gift for my 14th birthday from my parents. Haven't decided if and when I will pass him on as he is sooooooooo cute!! But mom says that doing random acts of kindness is good for me and is a virtue I need to cultivate. |
| 12-25-05: Izaya - Wellsville, KS - Marcus was a Christmas gift to me from Mommy and Daddy. When a friend of mommy's was visiting over Christmas, I gave it to her because she lived in Chicago, IL. I want my bug to travel the globe! |
| 2-13-06: Don - Wichita, KS - I recieved Leo the lightning bug on 11 feb 2006 from kim after our Valentines party at the Central Community Church in Wichita, Kansas. I was the first person to get Leo and I think I'll give him a trip to Hawaii next weekend. Don't you wish you were Leo? By the way, Kim always does kind things for people. Thanks Kim. aloha, Don. |
| 3-31-06: Donna Adell - Ottawa, Ks - Gave this "Lola the Ladybug" to our great-grand-daughter, katelyn Adell, for her 10th birthday present. Also gave her the cute bug box along with the book. We know she will enjoy them. |
| 4-19-06: C A Koch - Osage City, Ks - Marcus begins his journey of kindness from Osage City, Kansas and goes directly to Larry McCormick in Carbondale, Kansas. Larry is instrumental in Let's Help, Inc. in Topeka. He prepares breakfast at Let's Help for people in need. Way to go Larry! |
