| 8-18-05: I passed on Marcus the Monarch to Denise, the daughter of my best friend, Dorothy who just passed away. Dorothy loved everyone and would do anything for anyone. We are all going to miss her, especially Denise and her grandson, Charlie. |
| 9-8-05: Cherri gave me this cutie along with a calendar of horses.I used Marcus to begin a lesson about writing dialogues (quotations in a conversation context). My fourth graders loved it. I received some of the most interesting responses incorporating high-quality voice and word choice traits as well as the emphasized conventions. |

| 2-13-06: Don - Wichita, KS - I recieved Leo the lightning bug on 11 feb 2006 from kim after our Valentines party at the Central Community Church in Wichita, Kansas. I was the first person to get Leo and I think I'll give him a trip to Hawaii next weekend. Don't you wish you were Leo? By the way, Kim always does kind things for people. Thanks Kim. aloha, Don. |
